UPDATE:  November 7, 2008 - The quadrennial NLK show in Værøy, Norway & associated activities will occur from July 6-10, 2009.  This show only occurs once every four years and there are precious few hotels on the island.  A year out isn't early enough to start making reservations if you wish to attend!

NLAA will have a Meet the Breed booth at the AKC / Eukanuba National Championship

Selected members will be present with their Lundehunds to showcase the breed from 10am - 4pm each day

There is a competition between the groups for Best Presentation.  We're hoping to bring home the title for the FSS breeds this year!

NLAA has been requested to present a Judge's Educational Seminar at the 133rd Westminster Kennel Club show

Details on the schedule are still being worked, but it looks like it will either be Friday, February 6, 2009 or Saturday, February 7, 2009

We will be presenting a 1h45m session, 1/2 will be seminar, the remainder will be hands-on.

Members of the Judge's Education committee, as well as selected NLAA members will be present.  We are only allowed a limited number of dogs & entry passes, so we will be unable to offer an open invitation to this amazing opportunity.

July 25, 2008 - The 2008 election slate sent to membership via e-mail and/or "snail mail".  If there is a write-in nomination, please submit that information in writing via the attached form to the Secretary.  Details are included in the announcement message/mailing.

May 9, 2008 - NLAA is working with AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) to establish a 'donor advised fund'.  This initial amount was combined with the Frank Bays Memorial Fund for a current total of $1,390.00.  AKC-CHF requests a minimum of $2,000 to establish a donor advised fund.  If you would like to donate to this worthwhile cause, please e-mail our Treasurer.  If you would like more information about AKC-CHF, please click HERE to visit their website.

November 13, 2007 - the AKC Board of Directors voted (unanimously) to approve the Lundehund to move into the Miscellaneous Class effective July 1, 2008.  They also confirmed the NLAA will serve as the Parent Club.

October 8, 2007 - the AKC Board of Directors reviewed the Lundehund & the application to move forward into the Miscellaneous Class effective July 1, 2008.  We're expecting this to be voted on at the November meeting.  Click HERE to see the Board meeting minutes.

August 06, 2007 - the votes are in... the membership has voted to ratify the Constitution & By-laws and the Breed Standard

October 18, 2005 - AKC/FSS announced that NLAA, Inc. has been recommended to serve as the breed Parent Club for all Lundehund issues in the United States!
